Last night my eldest Grandson Archie stayed over night. On the way home I asked him what he plans to do with his weekend he, said erm…. Play, Colouring in and have a roast dinner π he surely is a chip off the block!
Maybe you’ve guessed it already… Today I decided its play day. I love to colour and have plenty of pens, pencils and colouring books. So thats what we did, we played, coloured in and went to the park. We laughed so much, I love our time together its so precious.
Breakfast today I kept with the play theme and created a raw gluten vegan free muesli in a jelly mould because I can π
I took lots of pics and have created my first video recipe so please be kind if you watch it. I enjoyed playing and creating with the camera and video settings. I will upload to my youtube channel but its locked me out at the moment.
The muesli was scrummy!!! I had it at 9am and again at 1pm with water, chaga and green tea. I then went to hang out with a friend for a bit I had an almond milk chai and on the way home I drove past Little Tofu a Vegan friendly chinese takeaway I decided to have one, I got vegetable rice and crispy chilli tofu. I came home, got comfy and enjoyed it. It wasnt the soup that I was planning on having but hey ho on the grand scale its pretty healthy, made with love and that’s the beauty of a longer cleanse it is about being flexible and gradually sinking in deeper to the cleanse.
Tomorow will be a flexible day as I am out all day. I am going to make a few green smoothies to take with me.
Monday I will start juicing as well as smoothies. I am feeling the benefits already, I have more clarity of thought and generally better all round.
Ive taken measurements of my bust, waist and hips today before the chinese π

For breakfast Ive had chaga tea made with cloves, ginger, cinnamon and cacao powder it was yummy and smelt very chocolaty and a few glasses of water.
My smoothie today is Sexy Cherry π
Soak for 15 mins
- 2 desert spoons of milled linseed
- 1 desert spoon of psyllium husk
In your blender add:
- 2 cup rice milk
- 1 cup frozen cherries
- 1 banana
- Half tsp hemp
- Half tsp spirulina
- Half tsp maca powder

Whizz up and enjoy π
This made enough to fill one large voss bottle. Im drinking it now at 2.18pm
So tonight’s dinner didnt go to plan as I was out at My Daughters house. I had a can of split pea soup with rice at 5pm then back at home courtesy of my Daughter Charlotte π baked sweet potato with some hummus, broccoli and kale at 8pm.
10pm I am having some fresh pineapple with half a coyo yoghurt. I love coyo π
Ive eaten more food today than yesterday its all good though this is about being flexible and listening to my body.

Day one of my long overdue cleanse.Β
Ok! So firstly to all the grammar police you may wish to find another post to read π
I allowed my dyslexia and fear of the grammar police to stop me sharing for far too long. Five plus years ago I thought fuck it! Im entilted to share my story as much as anyone and so this blog began alongside my Vegan journey.
Alot has happened in my life since then, more about that another day.
I am a qualified holistic nutritionist with over 18 years experience. Since learning the Taoist Yin Yang Philosophies of health alongside my Tai Chi and Qigong practice for the last 14 years its changed how I view nutrition and health as some of you reading who have been to my talks or workshops will know.
When I give my beautiful body a big cleanse I start out gently cleansing my colon for as long as it takes. I listen to my body for when to transition into the deeper phases and I build up to juice only fasting then water fasting. This is the same process I use for my clients its about listening to your body and working with it not forcing it harshly.
Today, Day One I have only had water and a barley cup (coffee alternative) its 13.30pm.
The kick off green smoothie!
Makes 3 wine glasses worth, I like using wine glasses for my smoothies sometimes.
- 2 tsp ground linseed
- 2 tsp ground hemp
- 2 tsp psyllium husk
- 2 tsp chia seeds
Place the above in your blender, I have a vitamix now however when I started out I only had a cheap one. Leave to soak in some apple juice for 15 mins.
Then add:
- 1 banana
- 2 handfuls fresh spinach
- 1 cup apple juice
- Few apricot kernals
- Half tsp spirulina powder
- Half tsp wheatgrass powder
- Half tsp barleygrass powder
- 1 tsp baobab powder
- Half tsp maca powder
- 1 tsp cacao powder
Whizz up and Enjoy π
Or check out Goddess Smoothie and add linseeds/psyllium if you have it.
This is filling and delicious, it will help to gently ease your body into cleansing mode. If you are carrying alot of toxins or have not cleansed before reduce the green powders and add extra spinach or kale. You can amend where necessary the important part is that it contains the linseeds and pysllium husk.
I am having this smoothie at 2pm then a light dinner of veg curry courtesy of my Daughter Yasmin π made with lots of veg, coconut milk, madras curry powder and mango chutney ill have with quinoa tonight at 5pm and lots of distilled water, which im adding one drop of food grade juniper berry oil and warm chaga and mate tea.
I will have an epsom salt bath tonight, dry body brushing, massage my body with oils and practice Qi gong and some Yoga before bed.
I will keep you updated throughout my cleanse which will be a minimum of 28 days.
Chaga Tea made with mate, nettle, turmeric, 2 cloves, ginger and cinnamon. Yum!
Veg Curry and Quinoa round the fire in the garden to celebrate solstice π 9pm in the end. Bit late, I got carried away re-potting my plants π
Ive had a really enjoyable day despite the migraine the first half of day. Ive only had 3 glasses of kick off smoothie between 2/4pm, one solid meal at 9pm and lots of water and 3 chaga teas.
Tomorow I will pretty much repeat and add in some cardio excercise, maybe a bike ride.

Edesias Spring Cleanse Day Five!
Good morning! Today is day 5 of my cleanse and the end of my water fast. I haven’t eaten solid food since Wednesday lunch time and nothing since 8pm Thursday eve, that’s a 36 hour water fast. I feel slightly sick this morning and a bit light headed, was very hot in the night and woke a few times for a wee. I am looking forward to a smoothie this morning and a warm nut milk maybe, see how I feel. Today I will ease myself back in gently with only liquids until tonight when I will have a lovely salad with some avocado and a few nuts. Going to eat light and raw at the weekend and then back onto another cleanse on Monday morning for week two. Next weeks cleanse focuses on cleansing out the colon, I will increase my exercise next week to at least an hour a day of high intensity exercise. Next week I will really start to feel the benefits π A cleanse brings up emotional stuff we push down with food, I did have a few tears last night and a few moments of panic about certain areas of my life! This is quite normal when we are clearly out our shit (literally) I recognise these feelings from many cleanses before so I just went with it and allowed those feelings to surface, recognised them and allowed them to move on. The only constant in life is change! Go with the flow of life, the ups and the downs! I realised yesterday how we do not always appreciate our food as we should, I was watching people down the seafront gobble up food without enjoyment or gratitude! I would have savoured a grape yesterday! I do take time to enjoy my food mostly but I had fallen back into the trap of addiction. Food is more addictive than most drugs, food is a drug! We use it to cover up feelings, comfort us, make us fat so know one will notice us, make us thin so people will admire us, make us ill to sabotage ourselves. It really is so powerful. Unlike drugs and alcohol, if food is your drug you cannot avoid it! If your an alcoholic you can avoid the pub or the alcohol section of the supermarket. Food is essential to life, we have to eat so you cannot avoid it, food is shoved in our faces wherever we go. The mind is what we need to master not the food! Love yourself enough to nourish your temple not punish it! I’m off to make my smoothie now π have a good day x
