Days 6 – 11 of my 28 day Solstice Vegan cleanse.Β

I have had a busy week and to be honest just didnt feel like writing.
Ive taken photos of some of the meals ive made. I have had a big shift 4 days ago, my body decided to let go and it felt good.
Turn away if your squemish……
I have been having the best poops ever. The ones when it feels like you have thoroughly been. My skin is feeling softer and I had more energy until ive hit a slump today. I have had a few emotional days with old stuff coming up to heal right back to my teenage years.
On Thursday I attended a great ecstatic dance class it was beautiful, I got to dance shake and play until my body was wet with sweat it was just what I needed.
Food…. ive been having smoothie bowls or overnight oats for breakfast. Fruit and a few naked bars for snacks, smoothies with kombucha and clean water. Im adding more raw foods to my evening meals.
Ive just had a cooked brunch of courgette, onion, beans, vege sausage and I made some butter bean scotch cakes and kimchi on the side.
Recipe:

  • 1 can butter beans
  • 3 tbs milled linseed (soaked for 15)
  • Gf flour
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • mash the butter beans
  • Add into the soaked linseed
  • Add third cup water
  • Add salt & pepper to taste
  • Add flour until firmer consistency
  • Make into patties
  • Fry in olive or coconut oil until firm

For tonight ive prepared raw pesto courgette with salad, onion, basil and kimchi. (Pic below)
Enjoy πŸ’œ

Similar to above with cherries, cinnamon and ginger.

Cheers! Kombucha πŸ’œ

Day 4 and 5 Solstice Cleanse! I want chocolate and lots of it! Β

Yesterday went well I met with a friend and we had a healthy breakfast at my local veggie/vegan restuarant the Oaktree. I had tofu scramble with mushrooms, beans, mashed avacado, gf falafel and hashbrown. I struggled to eat it all after consuming smaller amounts for a few days.
Its amazing how quick our bodies adjust to food. Im always in awe of our bodies and how they adjust. All of our issues with food are in the mind and emotions. Once my mind is on board its easy to get into these deeper longer cleanses. If im not in the right place emotionally its an uphill struggle.
About 3pm I had a yummy choc/peanut butter milkshake made with almond milk, peanut butter and cacao powder.
For the rest of the day I drunk water and a large voss bottle full of smoothie. It was a beautiful purple pink colour.
Very Cherry Berry Smoothie recipe!

  • Half cup cherries
  • Half cup blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 beetroot
  • 1 tsp maca
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass powder
  • 1 tsp barleygrass powder
  • 1 desert spoon of milled linseed
  • 2 heap tsp psyllium husk
  • Half cup almond milk
  • Half cup apple juice
  • Quarter cup kombucha

I put it all in the blender and whizzed up πŸ’œ

I could feel deeper emotions regarding food surfacing yesterday and a few random cravings kicked in for greasy chips and crisps. I gave myself a prep talk and didnt cave in as i knew i wouldnt feel good for eating them at the moment. I will make myself some potato wedges this week to compromise 😁
    Today day 4
I had a busy day today so prepared extra smoothie yesterday and a raw muesli for this morning. I added cacao powder into it and maca to give me an added boost. It was yummy.
I did give in to a pack of marmite crisps today whilst out. I will make some raw kale crisps to have to hand for future crunchy, salting cravings. I am craving chocolate today, I may have a small piece of dark chocolate later tonight.

Tonight im having boiled rice with curried chickpeas. I find starchy foods like rice on day 5/6 helps the cleansing process and will give me some extra energy as day 5 can be a tough one on all levels.

I needed a quick budget dinner tonight. The punjabi choley i picked up from the Asian section it was only Β£1.60 gluten free and vegan so thought id give it a try. I added some coconut butter and topped with spring onion. It was very nice although a bit too salty for me. I made some basamati rice as I didnt have any brown rice. I added turmeric and cardamom to the rice whilst cooking.
I had a bfree gluten free wrap in the fridge so I put it in a hot pan with a little coconut oil topped with garlic, olive oil and celtic sea salt.
Served the curry on a bed of spinach and a little mango chutney on the side. It was all tasty and very filling.
Im now drinking a chaga tea made with turmeric and cardamom πŸ’œ
I was going to start juicing today that will wait for a couple of days now because where I am working im not always near a toilet 😲
I look forward to my moods shifting into a better place next day or two. Its about going with it, meditating, excercising and pushing through.

Day 3 Solstice Cleanse lets get playful πŸ’œ

    [wpvideo LZAdrn3A]
Last night my eldest Grandson Archie stayed over night. On the way home I asked him what he plans to do with his weekend he, said erm…. Play, Colouring in and have a roast dinner 😁 he surely is a chip off the block!
Maybe you’ve guessed it already… Today I decided its play day. I love to colour and have plenty of pens, pencils and colouring books. So thats what we did, we played, coloured in and went to the park. We laughed so much, I love our time together its so precious.
Breakfast today I kept with the play theme and created a raw gluten vegan free muesli in a jelly mould because I can πŸ˜›
I took lots of pics and have created my first video recipe so please be kind if you watch it. I enjoyed playing and creating with the camera and video settings. I will upload to my youtube channel but its locked me out at the moment.
The muesli was scrummy!!! I had it at 9am and again at 1pm with water, chaga and green tea.  I then went to hang out with a friend for a bit I had an almond milk chai and on the way home I drove past Little Tofu a Vegan friendly chinese takeaway I decided to have one, I got vegetable rice and crispy chilli tofu. I came home, got comfy and enjoyed it. It wasnt the soup that I was planning on having but hey ho on the grand scale its pretty healthy, made with love and that’s the beauty of a longer cleanse it is about being flexible and gradually sinking in deeper to the cleanse.

Tomorow will be a flexible day as I am out all day. I am going to make a few green smoothies to take with me.
Monday I will start juicing as well as smoothies. I am feeling the benefits already, I have more clarity of thought and generally better all round.
Ive taken measurements of my bust, waist and hips today before the chinese 😁
